The purpose of the present invention is to provide a fixation position recognition device, an imaging device, a display device, a fixation position recognition method, and a program, whereby the position of portions within a video image fixated on by a user can be reliably recognized. The fixation position recognition device is equipped with: a line-of-sight analysis unit for performing, as line-of-sight analysis of a user, detection of a line-of-sight position of the user and determination of whether or not the line-of-sight position is stable; a video image analysis unit for performing video analysis of an acquired video image; and a fixation position recognition unit for recognizing fixation positions, that is, the positions of portions within the video image fixated on by a user, on the basis of the line-of-sight analysis result and the video analysis result.
