Abstract:
This fixed ball constant-velocity universal joint 3 is equipped with an outer joint member 31, an inner joint member 32, eight balls 33, and a cage 34. The center of curvature O31d of the track groove 31d of the outer joint member 31 and the center of curvature O32e of the track groove 32e of the inner joint member 32 are each offset from the joint center O(f) by equal distances on opposite sides of the joint center O(f) in the axial direction. The ratio PCDBALL/DBALL of the pitch circle diameter PCDBALL of the balls 33 and the diameter DBALL of each ball 33 is 3.70–3.87. The ratio TC/DBALL of the radial-direction thickness TC of the cage 34 and the diameter DBALL of each ball is 0.22–0.25.
