Abstract:
The invention relates to arrangements used in the process of installation of translucent units, and it can be used for horizontal and vertical alignment and fixing of the frames of translucent units. Fixing arrangement for installation is composed of a body fastened on the lateral face of the profile of the frame of the translucent unit, the body is engaged with a hold down-screw having a clamp at one end. The body is designed as a support plate with a nut. The clamp is designed as a circular plate with a cylindrical pin at the center. At one end of the hold-down screw it has a rigidly fixed nut with a recess at the center to fit the cylindrical pin of the circular plate. The depth of the recess is equal to the length of the cylindrical pin of the circular plate. At the other end of the hold-down screw it has a hexagonal recess. Application of this arrangement simplify the process of installation and fixing of translucent unit in the wall opening as well as simplifies the process of fastening it on the frame of the translucent unit.

Claims

Fixing arrangement for installation has a body fastened on the profile of the frame of translucent unit, the body is engaged with a hold down-screw having a clamp at one end, wherein the body of the arrangement is fastened on the lateral face of the frame of translucent unit and is designed as a support plate with a nut, the clamp is designed as a circular plate with a cylindrical pin at the center, at one end of the hold-down screw it has a rigidly fixed nut with a recess at the center to fit the cylindrical pin of the plate, the depth of the recess is equal to the length of the cylindrical pin of the plate, and there is a hexagonal recess at the other end of the hold-down screw.

Technical Field

The invention relates to arrangements used for installation of translucent units, such as glazed doors, windows, shop-windows, as well garage gates, and in installation of the frames of translucent units it can be used for horizontal and vertical alignment and fixing (securing).

Background Art

The known fixing arrangement for installation (RU 20071 123 13 A, B25B5/00, 2008 - prior art) consists of a body fastened on the front surface of the frame profile of translucent unit with a clamp and the body is engaged with the down-screw with a hold-down washer at one end by which the frame of translucent unit is fixed.

The known solution has the following disadvantages: when fastening the arrangement on the profile of the frame of translucent unit the profile can be damaged (if the clamp is overtightened), or when overtightening the hold-down screw it may cause torsion and deformation of the frame as the arrangement is shifted from the frame axis, as well as because fastening several arrangements on the frame of translucent unit and their further removal from the profile will require additional steps in the installation process and will increase the time of installation.

Disclosure of Invention

The task of the invention is to simplify the process of fastening the arrangement on the profile of the frame of translucent unit, as well as to make the process of installation of frames of translucent units in the wall opening easier and faster.

The essence of the invention is that a fixing arrangement for installation has a body fastened on the profile of the frame of translucent unit, the body is engaged with a hold down- screw having a clamp at one end. According to solution, the body of the arrangement is fastened on the lateral face of the frame of translucent unit and is designed as a support plate with a nut. The clamp is designed as a circular plate with a cylindrical pin at the center. At one end of the hold-down screw it has a rigidly fixed nut with a recess at the center to fit the cylindrical pin of the plate. The depth of the recess is equal to the length of the cylindrical pin of the plate. There is a hexagonal recess at the other end of the hold-down screw.

Modes for Carrying out of the Invention

The arrangement is composed of a body (2) fixed on the lateral face of the profile of the frame ( 1 ) of the translucent unit (of the window) and is designed as a support plate with a nut, and hold-down screw (3 ) , the body is engaged with a hold down-screw having a clamp at one end (4). The clamp is designed as a circular plate with a cylindrical pin at the center. At one end of the hold-down screw it has a rigidly fixed nut (5) with a recess (6) at the center to fit the cylindrical pin of the plate. The depth of the recess is equal to the length of the cylindrical pin of the plate. There is a hexagonal recess at the other end of the hold-down screw (7).

The fixing arrangement for installation is used in following way: in the process of making of the frame of translucent unit (e.g. in plan conditions) reach-through holes of a diameter slightly larger than the diameter of hold-down screw are drilled in the frame, support plates with nuts (6รท 12 pes.) are preliminarily fastened on the lateral face of the frame profile ( 1 ) at appropriate positions (depending on the size and the selected option of fastening). Next, straight before the installation of the frame of translucent unit (window), hold-down screws (3) are screwed in the nut of support plate. After inserting the frame of translucent unit (window) into the opening of the wall, the cylindrical pin of the clamp (4) is fitted into the cylindrical recess (6) in the nut (5) of the hold-down screw (3), then an appropriate hex key/wrench is applied on the hold-down screw (3): in one option -on the hexagonal recess (7) at one end of the hold- down screw, in the other option - on the rigidly fixed nut (5) at the other end of the hold-down screw, abutting the clamp (4) upon the inner surface of the window opening. Thereafter, the arrangement is ready for horizontal and vertical alignment of the translucent unit (window) and fixing it in the opening. After implementation of these operations the process of installation of translucent unit is continued by using the known from state of the art methods. Additionally, application of this arrangement enables to reduce the number of or even completely exclude the use of expansion bolts used for fixing.

Finally, after completion of installation, the claimed arrangement permanently remains fixed on the profile of the frame of translucent unit, i.e. it is intended for single use only.

The claimed arrangement can be used not only for installation of translucent units (windows) but also for installation of similar units made of metal, wood and plastic such as doors, windows, stained glass windows, gates, etc. Depending on the weight and size of the unit to be installed, the arrangement can be made of metal or plastic.

Fig.3 and Fig.5 disclose the places on the frame of the translucent units (windows) for fastening the arrangement (window): in one option - using the hold-down screw (3) through the reach-through hole made in the frame profile allowing access to reach by the hex key to hexagonal recesse (7), and, in the other option - using the wrench for the easily accessible nut (5) on hold-down screw (3). The options described above are equally applicable. However, in cases where the frames of the translucent units are for any reason not sufficiently rigid, it is preferable to apply the option described in Fig.3, otherwise overtightening of the hold-down screw (3) may bend the frame profile.
