Abstract:
Provided is a flame-retardant hook-and-loop fastener comprising: a base fabric that is woven from a warp yarn composed of a polyphenylene sulfide-based multi-filament yarn, a weft yarn composed of a polyphenylene sulfide-based multi-filament yarn and a heat-sealable filament, and an engagement-element yarn composed of at least one selected from the group consisting of a polyphenylene sulfide-based multi-filament yarn and mono-filament yarn; and an engagement element that is present on the upper surface of the base fabric and is formed from the engagement element yarn. The warp yarn floats and sinks up and down across the weft yarn, wherein the warp yarn thickness in a base fabric thickness direction at a location where the warp yarn is sunk the most on the backside is less than or equal to 0.94 times the warp yarn thickness in the base fabric thickness direction at a location where the warp yarn is floating the most on the upper surface side.
