Abstract:
Provided are: a flame retardant master batch which is used for the purpose of providing a styrene-based resin with flame retardancy; and a method for producing a styrene-based flame-retardant resin composition with use of the flame retardant master batch.
A flame retardant master batch which is characterized by containing 75-25 parts by mass of (A) a styrene-based resin, 15-50 parts by mass of (B) 2,4,6-tris(2,4,6-tribromophenoxy)-1,3,5-triazine, 2-8 parts by mass of (C) antimony trioxide and 5-17 parts by mass of (D) talc, while containing 0.5-2.0 parts by mass of (E) an antioxidant per 100 parts by mass of the total of the components (A)-(D). A method for producing a styrene-based flame-retardant resin composition, wherein 30-85 parts by mass of the flame retardant master batch and 70-15 parts by mass of a styrene-based resin are melted and mixed.
