Abstract:
The present invention provides a method for preparing a flame retardant, comprising: a chitosan solution preparation step of preparing a chitosan solution by mixing chitosan powder or pieces in acetic acid-added water of room temperature and continuously mixing so as to dissolve the same; an ammonium polyphosphate solution preparation step of preparing an ammonium polyphosphate solution by mixing an ammonium polyphosphate powder in heated water and continuously mixing so as to dissolve the same; a mixture solution preparation step of preparing a liquid mixture solution by mixing the prepared chitosan solution and the ammonium polyphosphate solution in a high-temperature environment; a pure solution obtaining step of obtaining a pure mixture solution by obtaining, by vacuum filtering the prepared mixture solution, a molten product from which un-molten products are removed, and then washing the molten product with distilled water; and a flame retardant completion step of preparing a flame retardant powder by removing water by drying the obtained pure mixture solution at a high temperature, and then pulverizing the same, and thereby enabling a flame retardant, which has more excellent physical properties while being environmentally friendly and has more excellent flame retardancy, to be provided.
