Abstract:
Disclosed is a flame-retardant resin composition which contains: a base resin configured from polyethylene and an acid-modified polyolefin; aluminum hydroxide; a silicone compound; and a fatty acid-containing compound. Therein: the polyethylene density is more than 912.4 kg/m3 and less than 940.0 kg/m3; the polyethylene content in the base resin constitutes 75-99 mass%, inclusive; the acid-modified polyolefin content in the base resin constitutes 1-25 mass%, inclusive; the aluminum hydroxide is formulated in a proportion constituting 5-190 parts by mass, inclusive, relative to 100 parts by mass of the base resin; the silicone compound is formulated in a proportion constituting 1.5-10 parts by mass, inclusive, relative to 100 parts by mass of the base resin; and the fatty acid-containing compound is formulated in a proportion constituting 5-20 parts by mass, inclusive, relative to 100 parts by mass of the base resin.
