Abstract:
A flame-retardant styrenic resin composition which is remarkably improved in flame retardance without using any halogenated flame retardant and is excellent in mechanical properties. This composition comprises: component (A): 100 parts by weight of a rubber-modified styrenic resin (A1) or a mixture of the resin (A1) with a polyphenylene ether resin (A2); component (B): 0.1 to 30 parts by weight of at least one phosphorus-containing flame retardant selected from the group consisting of organophosphorus compounds and red phosphorus; and component (C): 0.1 to 40 parts by weight of at least one nitrogen-containing compound selected from the group consisting of aminotriazine sulfate, aminotriazine borate, diaminotriazine borate, triaminotriazine borate and aminotriazine sulfamate.
