Abstract:
The present invention relates to a flame-retardant resin, which can be impregnated into a wood material, and a method for manufacturing a flame-retardant wood material by using same, which provides flame-retardant properties while maintaining the characteristics of natural wood by impregnating the wood material with the flame-retardant resin. The method for manufacturing the flame-retardant wood material, according to the present invention, can enhance temperature and humidity-control functions and a natural wood scent, which are the greatest advantages of wood materials, by impregnating the wood material with a water-soluble flame-retardant agent, while producing the wood material that satisfies flame-retardant performance standards (incombustibility, semi-incombustibility, flame-retardance, and fireproofness). In addition, the flame-retardant resin adheres to cell cavities, gaps between cells, and other miniscule gaps inside the wood material after drying, so that the flame-retardant resin does not cause whitening even when the flame-retardant resin remains on the surface of the wood material, unlike phosphorus-based polymers not having carbon elements, and does not reduce adhesive force. Also, the flame-retardant wood material manufactured according to the present invention exhibited a significant increase in antibacterial properties and measurement stability.
