Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2005/111300
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A flame-retardant synthetic leather, characterized in that it is composed of a synthetic leather base cloth of thermoplastic synthetic fibers being three-dimensionally intermingled with one another and an aqueous polyurethane resin and comprises a layer (A) being a surface layer and other layers (B), wherein a fiber constituting the layer (A) is an extremely fine thermoplastic synthetic fiber having a fineness of 0.5 dtex or less and exhibiting excellent resistance to wear and/or light, said extremely fine thermoplastic synthetic fiber comprises a polyester homopolymer having an intrinsic viscosity (IV) of 0.50 to 0.70 and is contained in anamount of 10 to 60 wt % relative to the synthetic leather base cloth, at least one layer of the layers (B) has a flame-retardant thermoplastic synthetic fiber containing phosphorus in an amount of 0.09 wt % or more relative to the synthetic leather base cloth, the aqueous polyurethane resin is contained in an amount of 5 to 20 wt % relative to the synthetic leather base cloth.
