Abstract:

The object is to impart flame retardancy as well as water resistance and durability to an interior material for an automobile or the like. Disclosed is a flame-retardant treatment solution comprising: an aqueous solution of a phenolic resin precondensate; and an ammonium polyphosphate particle having a dissolution rate in water of 5 mass% or less and dispersed in the aqueous solution. In the treatment solution, the phenolic resin coating is formed on the surface of the ammonium polyphosphate particle. Water resistance can be imparted due to the coating.
