Abstract:
The present invention prevents a bead of a gasket from becoming damaged or deformed, for example, resulting in a loss of sealing function, when an exhaust system pipe of an internal combustion engine is connected using a flange with a gasket. A gasket 20 is provided integrally on a seal surface 13 of a flange 10 for connecting an exhaust system pipe of an internal combustion engine, by positioning the gasket 20 on the seal surface 13 and joining the same together, to thereby obtain a flange 1 with a gasket. The gasket 20 includes an effective sealing region for a portion of the seal surface 13 at the peripheral edge of a port hole 11 serving as an exhaust passage, and is provided only in a prescribed region smaller than the outer shape of the flange 10. A part 24 which is joined to the flange is provided in an extended portion 25 that extends outward from an outer periphery 20a of the gasket 20, and a through hole 26 is formed between the part 24 and a region in which a bead 23 is formed. A cut-out portion may be formed instead of the through hole 26.
