Abstract:
A flaring tool (1) expands the diameter of an end of a synthetic resin fluid pipe. The flaring tool (1) has a motor shaft (20a) that is rotated by an electric motor (20). A feed screw mechanism (25) converts the rotation of the motor shaft (20a) into the back-and-forth motion of an output shaft (27). A wedge (3) provided at the front of the output shaft (27) presses a plurality of jaws (4). The plurality of jaws (4) are mutually open in a radially outward direction. A jaw rotation mechanism (30) comprising a shaft (31) is provided. The shaft (31) rotates in conjunction with the rotation of the motor shaft (20a). The shaft (31) axially rotates the plurality of jaws (4). The output shaft (27), the motor shaft (20a), and the shaft (31) of the jaw rotation mechanism (30) are arranged in mutual alignment and so as to overlap in a front-back direction.
