Abstract:
This flash memory module includes flash memories and a controller. The controller acquires information indicating the reliability of monitored data in a flash memory, and if the controller determines that the reliability indicated by the acquired information is lower than that determined on the basis of predetermined conditions, then the controller: identifies a first cell, which is among the cells of the flash memory corresponding to error bits of the monitored data, and which has a lower threshold voltage level than would be the case if the monitored data were transformed into expected value data by correcting the error bits; and transmits, to the flash memory, rewrite modification cell data, which is the portion of the expected value data corresponding to the data in the first cell. The flash memory then injects electrons into the first cell on the basis of the threshold voltage indicated by the rewrite modification cell data.
