Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a flash rust inhibitor that exhibits an exceptional flash-rust-inhibiting effect without containing nitrite. The present invention is a flash rust inhibitor characterized by containing a salt (AB) of an aliphatic dicarboxylic acid (A) and an alkylene oxide adduct (B) of an aliphatic monoamine. The aliphatic dicarboxylic acid (A) is preferably a linear dicarboxylic acid, and the number of carbon atoms thereof is preferably 4-14. The aliphatic monoamine that constitutes the alkylene oxide adduct (B) of an aliphatic monoamine is preferably a C3-18 linear amine or a C4-12 cyclic amine, and the alkylene oxide is preferably ethylene oxide and/or propylene oxide.
