Abstract:
A flashtube of the present invention is provided with glass tubes, an anode-side electrode formed on one-end section of a glass tube, and a cathode-side electrode formed on the other-end section of the glass tube. The glass tubes are composed of a first glass tube, and second glass tubes connected to both ends of the first glass tube with thermal-expansion coefficient linking glass tubes interposed therebetween. The thermal-expansion coefficient linking glass tube have a thermal expansion coefficient between that of the first glass tube and that of the second glass tubes, and the ratio of the outer diameter of the anode-side electrode with respect to the inner diameter of the glass tubes is 43.5% or more.
