The present application provides a flat copper wire for a motor and a winding. At least one insulating slit region is formed on the flat copper wire. According to the flat copper wire for the motor and the winding of the present application, by optimizing the structure of the flat copper wire, the skin effect of current is reduced, the eddy current loss is reduced, and the efficiency of the motor is improved; moreover, notches corresponding to the slit region are formed at the side edges of the cross-sectional shape of the optimized flat copper wire, thereby being more beneficial for a cooling oil to fully enter the notches to directly cool the copper wire, effectively improving the heat dissipation efficiency, ensuring that the motor continuously and stably runs at a proper temperature, and improving the maximum power of the motor.
