Abstract:

A flat multifilament yarn knit fabric that excels in bulkiness, draping property and water/sweat absorptivity. In particular, a knit fabric comprising a multifilament yarn composed of two or more filaments, the two or more filaments each comprising a fiber forming thermoplastic polymer as a main component and having a flat sectional configuration, wherein in the flat section, on both sides of longitudinal center line thereof, 3 or more, on each side, swollen portions which swell toward outside of the longitudinal center line and 2 or more, on each side, constricted portions which are arranged between the swollen portions are provided substantially symmetrically on the longitudinal center line. With respect to such a modified section, the sectional flatness in terms of the ratio (B/C1) of length (B) along the longitudinal center line to maximum width (C1) along the direction crossing the direction of longitudinal center line at right angles is in the range of 2 to 6. The knit fabric contains the above multifilament yarn in an amount of 50 to 100 wt.% based on the total weight of knit fabric.
