Title:
FLAW DETECTION PROCESS FOR LARGE STEEL BALLS USED IN OFFSHORE WIND POWER END PRODUCTS
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2019/034185
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A flaw detection process for large steel balls used in offshore wind power end products, comprising the following steps: 1. preparing: steel balls to be tested are prepared and then placed in an upper ball hopper (1); 2. conveying: the balls are discharged from the output end of the upper ball hopper and fed through a conveyance channel, a stop rod (5) being used to stop and retain each ball for flaw detection testing; 3. testing: two flaw detection testing instruments (8) arranged at 90° to each other carry out flaw detection testing on each of the steel balls; at the same time, during the testing process, a rotary element (7) drives each steel ball to rotate at a speed of 2500-3000 r/min; 4. sorting: following testing, the steel balls are fed through a ball discharge section (4) of the conveyance channel and into a ball sorting channel (10), then through the ball sorting channel and into a ball sorting receptacle (11) where said balls are sorted. In the process, two flaw detection testing instruments arranged at 90° to each other simultaneously carry out flaw detection testing on the steel balls. The flaw detection testing instruments may each make individual adjustments in respect of the large steel balls, thereby ensuring testing precision, reducing the amount of manual labor required, and shortening the testing cycle.
