Abstract:
A flexible die (1) used for an embossing device for embossing Braille characters in such a manner that a pair of flexible bases (2a, 2b) are respectively wound around a pair of cylindrical rollers which are arranged so as to face each other and then a sheet (S) to be worked is caused to pass through between the pair of rollers to emboss Braille characters on the sheet. The pair of flexible bases (2a, 2b) is composed of the female flexible base (2a) and the male flexible base (2b) which are adapted to fit to each other. The male flexible base (2b) has formed thereon male-side projections (3b) corresponding to Braille characters to be embossed on the sheet (S) to be worked, and the female-side flexible base (2a) has formed thereon female-side projections (3a) provided with recesses (30) to be fitted to the male-side projections (3b).
