Abstract:
Provided are a flexible meshing-type gear device with which it is possible to reduce or prevent lost motion and fretting wear on an inner peripheral surface of an external tooth gear, and a method of manufacturing the same. The flexible meshing-type gear device (1) is provided with: a vibratory body (30A); an external tooth gear (32) which flexibly deforms due to the vibratory body; an internal tooth gear (41G, 42G) meshing with the external tooth gear; and a vibratory body bearing (31) disposed between the external tooth gear and the vibratory body. The external tooth gear (32) has a coating between the inner peripheral surface and the tooth plane thereof. The coating has a property such that, when the flexible meshing-type gear device is operated, the coating at the meshing portion is removed due to the meshing between the external tooth gear and the internal tooth gear.
