Abstract:
A flexible pressure switch comprises a flexible electrode area and a flexible non-electrode area formed at a flexible circuit board (1) at a bottom layer of the flexible pressure switch. Two flexible electrodes (11) separated from each other are arranged at the flexible electrode area. An electrically-conducting elastic composite component (3) is positioned and adhered via an elastic adhering layer (2) to the flexible non-electrode area. A contact pressure chamber region (31) is formed on the electrically-conducting elastic composite component (3) and directly opposite to the flexible electrode area. When pressed, an upper surface of an inner wall of the contact pressure chamber region (31) can contact with the two flexible electrodes (11), simultaneously or consecutively, to provide electricity conduction. On/off-resistance threshold ranges of the switch are adjusted by changing resistivities of an electrically conductive layer or the flexible electrodes (11). A switch conduction pressure range is adjusted by employing a structural design and changing hardness of the electrically-conducting elastic composite component (3), thereby controlling the on and off states of the switch. The switch is simple to manufacture, low in cost, has stable performance, and is suitable for batch production, satisfying functionalities and wearing comfort of a product, being suitable for use in smart wearable apparatuses such as smart insoles, smart shoes, smart seats, smart mattresses and the like.
