Abstract:

Disclosed is a versatile flexible reflective substrate which exhibits high reflectance of high luminance light of emission wavelengths from approximately 340-500nm, superior thermal conductivity, and which is flexible and can follow bends without the generation of corrugations or cracks. The flexible reflective substrate also exhibits superior light fastness, heat resistance, weather resistance, and flame resistance without deterioration such as yellowing caused over time by the irradiation of the high luminance light. The versatile flexible reflective substrate further exhibits chemical stability, stability against mechanical stress such as repeated bending, the ability to maintain a white colour over a long period of time, and superior adhesion to metals and resins. The flexible reflective substrate can be easily formed so as to coat wiring substrates, and can be manufactured at low cost and a high rate of production. The flexible reflective substrate (10) has a flexible membranous reflective layer (11) which contains a white inorganic filler powder dispersed in a three-dimensional cross-linked silicone rubber, said inorganic filler powder having a higher refractive index than the silicone rubber. The flexible membranous reflective layer (11) is a cover coat which is applied to a flexible support body, or a coverlay film which is applied to a flexible support body.
