Abstract:
Provided are a flexible single-layer conductive microstructure artificial cochlear electrode and a manufacturing method thereof. An artificial cochlear electrode array component is designed according to the cochlear auditory nerve ending occupation distribution rule and manufactured using a biocompatible insulating flexible film material through the steps of preparation of a substrate thin film, deposition of an adhesion layer and a metal layer, stripping of the film, curling and shaping, and fixing and packaging. Specifically, a biocompatible insulating material is spin coated on a substrate; photoresist is spin coated on the insulation material layer, covered with a designed substrate mask, and exposed; exposed thin film is developed in a developer solution, then heat is applied at a suitable temperature; an adhesion layer is deposited or plated by electron beam evaporation on the side having the photoresist; a conductive metal layer is further deposited or plated by electron beam evaporation on the side having the photoresist; the photoresist is washed off, and the processed flexible film having a metal conductive structure is peeled off from the hard substrate; shaping; and fixing and packaging.
