Abstract:
Provided is a flexible treatment instrument whereby it is possible for an individual doctor carrying out an endoscopic treatment to conduct reliable intuitive manipulation of forceps, scalpels, etc. This flexible treatment instrument (1) is provided with a mechanism which connects, with a flexible tube body (4) which encases transmission members, a curve part (3) which carries out a curving action and a manipulation part (8) which receives a manipulation by an operator relating to the curve part (3), said mechanism enabling the manipulation of the manipulation part (8) to be transmitted to the curve part (3). The flexible treatment instrument (1) further comprises: a support part (7) which, while clasping the flexible tube body (4), supports the manipulation part (8); and a rotation support part (11) which supports the manipulation part (8) at the support part (7) so as to allow axial rotation of the manipulation part (8) relative to the flexible tube body (4).
