A helical tube of a flexible tube according to the present invention has a first sparse winding region in which a first flexible part is formed in cooperation with an outer skin, a dense winding region in which a second flexible part is formed, a variation region in which a third flexible part is formed and bend resistance of a distal-end part and a proximal-end part is varied, and a second sparse winding region in which a fourth flexible part is formed. In the variation region, in cooperation with the outer skin in a state in which the distal-end part is disposed between the dense winding region and the second sparse winding region, the bend resistance of the distal-end part is varied so as to approach the bend resistance of the second flexible part and the bend resistance of the proximal-end part is varied so as to approach the bend resistance of the fourth flexible part, and in cooperation with the outer skin in a state in which the distal-end part is disposed between the dense winding region and the first sparse winding region, the bend resistance of the distal-end part is varied so as to approach the bend resistance of the first flexible part and the bend resistance of the proximal-end part is varied so as to approach the bend resistance of the second flexible part.
