Claims
[1] A flip over sealer, comprising: a container pouch, for holding the content; a pair of sealable cuffs, for flipping over to the other side to seal the pouch, operationally wrapped to said pouch; and a pair of jointed edges, for attaching both short edges of the cuffs to the pouch, firmly bond said cuffs to said pouch. |
Description
FLIP OVER SEALER
Technical Field
[I] The invention relates to, but is not limited to, reusable or disposable infusers for tea, coffee, herbs, spices, etc.
[2] The infusers can either be in the forms of flat pouch or pyramid bag with a sealable top, which can seal the infuser by simply flipping over one side of the cuffs to the other side.

Technical Problem
[4] There is currently no disposable infuser available for making tea bags using loose- leaf tea, which is normally the form for high quality teas. [5] Existing infusers are typically in the forms of metal ball, mesh strainer, or spoon strainer. These infusers are normally costly, awkward to use, and require cleaning. [6] It would be advantageous to provide a low-cost, disposable infuser which can be sealed without any tool. [7] It would also be advantageous to provide a reusable infuser with a similar design.
Technical Solution [8] The invention includes a sealable top with cuffs, which is an extension of the main body of the pouch, folded and bounded on both sides of the pouch. This "Flip Over
Sealer" provides an effective mechanism to seal infusers with no tool required.
Advantageous Effects [9] The invention provides an effective flip-over sealer design to secure disposable or reusable infusers with no tool required. [10] By simply flipping over one side of the cuffs at the top of the infuser pouch over to the other side, the infuser may be sealed.
[I I] This sealable top can be reversed to allow repeated applications or, simply be disposed after each use.
Description of Drawings [12] Figure 1 is a multiple perspective view of an arrangement of the sealable top with cuffs, which is an extension of the main body of the pouch, folded and bounded on both sides of the pouch; [13] Figure 2 is a multiple perspective view of a typical application of the "flip over sealer" by simply flipping over one side of the cuffs toward the other side; and
[14] Figure 3 is a multiple perspective view of a variation of "flip over sealer" application, which would result in a pyramid shaped infuser.

Mode for Invention
[17] Figure 1 shows one arrangement of the sealable top with cuffs (11), which are attached to the main pouch (10) with jointed edges (12) along both sides. This allows the pouch to stay open so any desirable ingredients, such as tea and herbs, can be added in easily. To seal the infuser, one side of the cuffs is flipped over to the other side. The cuffs can be further reinforced by reinforcement edge (13) along the edges of the cuffs. This optional reinforcement will strengthen the cuffs thus help securing the contents inside the pouch.
[18] Figure 2 shows a typical application of the 'Flip Over Sealer' by simply flipping over one of the cuffs (11) toward the other side. The sealable top, consists of cuffs with jointed edges (12), seals the top of the pouch (10) to prevent the contents inside from escaping out of the infuser pouch.
[19] Figure 3 shows a variation of this 'Flip Over Sealer' application. It shows the cuffs
(11) are attached to the pouch (10) at the center instead of along the edges. The modified arrangement of jointed edges (12) allows the cuffs to be pushed in from the edges to form a pyramid shaped bag. One side of the cuffs can then be flipped over to the other side hence encloses and seals the pouch. Industrial Applicability
