Title:
FLIP-UP EYEGLASSES
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2011/040362
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Flip-up eyeglasses configured in such a manner that front-mounted eyeglasses can be stably and smoothly flipped up to a desired angle. Front-mounted eyeglasses (10) are pivotably attached to eyeglasses (5a) through a pressing connection device (11) in such a manner that the front-mounted eyeglasses (10) can be flipped up. The pressing connection device (11) includes: bearing protrusions (15, 16) which are provided to a first connection section (3) for connecting left and right lens sections (2a, 2a) of the eyeglasses (5a); a fitting protrusion (21) which is provided to a second connection section (9) for connecting left and right auxiliary lens sections (7, 7) of the front-mounted eyeglasses (10) and which is fitted between both the bearing protrusions (15, 16); a shaft body (27) which is contained within a containing hole (22) provided in the fitting protrusion (21); a coiled spring (31) through which a shaft section (29) of the shaft body (27) is inserted; and a pressing support screw (35). Engaging the pressing support screw (35) through screw threads causes the front end (37) of a screw shaft section (36) to press the center portion of the head end (39) of the shaft body (27). The pressing force of the coiled spring (31) due to the pressing causes an end surface (38) of the fitting protrusion (21) and an end surface (44) of the bearing protrusion (15) to be in a state in which the end surface (38) and the end surface (44) are elastically pressed to each other.
