Abstract:
A float type base structure (1) for supporting a power generation system (2) erected on the ocean. The base structure (1) comprises a main float (3) in the form of an axially long cylinder with its center axis vertically directed to support the power generation system (2) in its erected state, and a plurality of auxiliary floats (4) integrated with the main float (3) by a truss (5) to surround the main float (3). The lower portion of the main float (3) supporting the power generation system (2) in its erected state is submerged in seawater, and the upper portions of the auxiliary floats (4) are positioned above the sea level. The draft portion of the main float (3) below the draft line has a flat plate (6) of larger diameter than the cross section of the main float (3) installed thereon as horizontally as possible.
