Provided is a floating oil recovery apparatus which makes it possible to recover floating oil with a greatly reduced amount of water mixed therein. The floating oil recovery apparatus is provided with: a suction pipe wherein one end serves as a suction port-side end that opens upwardly and the other end is coupled to the intake port of a pump; a float which allows the suction port-side end to follow close to the liquid surface of the liquid in a storage tank; a liquid surface following-type suction apparatus provided with an adjustment pipe which is loosely inserted in the suction port-side end of the suction pipe in such a way that the adjustment pipe can move up and down, the upper end opening edge of said adjustment pipe serving as a suction port; a separation tank into which the oil-water liquid mixture in the storage tank flows for the separation of the oil-water liquid mixture into oil and water; a pump for sucking the oil-water liquid mixture from the storage tank and feeding the oil-water liquid mixture to the separation tank; and a deaerator for removing air from the oil-water liquid mixture sucked from the storage tank.
