The present invention relates to an apparatus which floats on a stream, a river, or the like to purify water. More particularly, the present invention relates to a floating purifying apparatus which floats on a stream, a river, or the like by means of a float to filter various underwater foreign substances, without interfering with the flow of water, using a filter module installed over the upper, middle, and lower areas of the stream, the river, or the like. The floating purifying apparatus of the present invention enables the easy maintenance thereof such as cleaning after installing same, and has a contamination-preventing membrane installed over the middle and lower areas of the stream, the river, or the like so as to prevent various underwater foreign substances from diffusing and to enable the foreign substances to be fed to the filter module, thus effectively removing various foreign substances mixed with water, regardless of the depth of the water.
