Title:
FLOCCULANT, TRANSITION METAL SEPARATION METHOD, AND TRANSITION METAL SEPARATION DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2014/030218
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to improve the separation rate for specific transition metals. Provided is a flocculant that forms transition metal ions into aggregates by coordinate bonding, wherein the flocculant has a polymer with an amino group, and dicarboxylic acid or a dicarboxylate. Further provided is a transition metal separation method for aggregating and separating specific transition metal ions from an aqueous solution in which transition metal ions of a plurality of types are intermixed, wherein the method comprises the following: a first step in which, after a polymer with an amino group is added to the aqueous solution, dicarboxylic acid or a dicarboxylate is added thereto to form an aggregate; and a second step in which the aggregate and a dissolved component are separated from the aqueous solution.
