Abstract:
The present invention relates to a winch for a floodgate, capable of preventing overload thereof, which cuts off power supplied to a rack bar connected to the floodgate when a load reaches a preset overload level, thereby preventing breakage of the floodgate and protecting the winch. According to the present invention, the winch comprises: a rack bar connected to a floodgate which opens and shuts a water flow channel of; a gearbox with a driving gear for moving the rack bar in a vertical direction; a motor for transmitting a rotating force to the gearbox; overload level-setting means connected to the shaft of the motor; overload-preventing means for spacing a plurality of disks apart from one another and simultaneously inducing slippage between disks for preventing rotation of the disks when the load reaches an overload level set by the overload level-setting means; and power transmission means for receiving a rotating force from the overload-preventing means and transmitting the received rotating force to the driving gear in the gearbox during a normal operating mode, while not transmitting any rotating force to the driving gear in the gearbox in the event of a slippage between the disks.
