A floor brush assembly (10) for a cleaning apparatus (1) and a cleaning apparatus (1). The floor brush assembly (10) comprises a floor brush housing (11), a flexible tube (12) and a sealing connection member (13). The floor brush housing (11) has an air inlet. One end of the flexible tube (12) is in communication with the air inlet. The sealing connection member (13) is provided at the other end of the flexible tube (12). The sealing connection member (13) comprises a sealing lip (131) and an elastic portion (132). When the floor brush assembly (10) is connected to a rigid tube (32), the sealing lip (131) forms a seal fit to the rigid tube (32), and the elastic portion (132) adaptively extends or retracts according to a distance between the rigid tube (32) and the flexible tube (12). Configuring the sealing lip (131) to abut an end portion of the rigid tube (32) and the elastic portion (132) to adaptively extend or retract according to the distance between the rigid tube (32) and the flexible tube (12) improves sealing performance between the rigid tube (32) and the floor brush assembly (10).
