Abstract:
The invention relates to a floor for a gravity filter with a filter medium for the treatment of water, comprising casings (3) arranged on an invert (4) and supporting at least one layer (N) of granular filter medium, each casing comprising an upper wall provided with openings (6) for the passage of filtered water, or washing water and/or air. Each casing (3) has an inner section free of any walls, and is completely closed at one end while its opposite end is partially closed and comprises a water inflow/outflow opening in the lower part, and an air inflow opening in the upper part, and the openings (6) of the upper wall of the casing are provided with nozzles (11) for ensuring a relatively uniform distribution of the flows of fluid.
