Abstract:
Reduction in the retention strength of a floor mat clip is prevented, and differences in the thicknesses of articles to be installed are allowed. A pin member (4) to be inserted into a pin insertion hole in a carpet is formed of an outward flange section (4a) and a shank section (4b). An outward flange section (5a) is provided in a cap member (5) having a tubular section (5b) into which the shank section is to be inserted. The carpet is held between the two outward flange sections. A plurality of circumferential grooves are provided on the inner circumferential surface of the tubular section in such a way as to be disposed side by side in the axial direction. Engagement protrusions (7a) which are to engage with the circumferential grooves and are capable of undergoing elastic displacement in the radial direction, are provided in the shank section. Due to the plurality of circumferential grooves, it is possible to deal with differences in carpet thicknesses, and if a load is generated in such a direction as to cause a floor mat to slip, the shank section is capable of taking the load, with the result that the engagement protrusions are prevented from being deformed or damaged. Therefore, an engagement state for axial retention does not deteriorate during long-term use, resulting in a reliable floor mat fixing state being able to be maintained.
