Abstract:
Provided is a floor-wax resistance improver excellent in terms of resistance to floor waxes. It was found that not only water repellency but also stability to organic matter such as floor waxes is attained by using a wax and a specific petroleum resin in combination in a given ratio as a floor-wax resistance improver and incorporating the petroleum resin in a given proportion. Namely, when producing a wood board by heating and pressing a raw material, the floor-wax resistance improver is added to the raw material to improve the resistance to floor waxes of the wood board. The floor-wax resistance improver comprises 70-90 wt% wax having an oil content of 10 mass% or less and 30-10 wt% petroleum resin per 100 wt% the floor-wax resistance improver. The petroleum resin comprises: copolymers of a C5 fraction with a C9 fraction; a combination of a C5 fraction and a C9 fraction; or a combination of the copolymers and said combination; the contents of the C5 fraction and the C9 fraction being 65-20 wt% and 35-80 wt%, respectively, with respect to the whole petroleum resin.
