Abstract:
If in-use gas appliances (20) include a fuel cell (21), a gas-appliance identification unit (12) in a flow measurement device (10A) identifies the type of an in-use gas appliance (20) by using a flow-rate pattern, flow-rate patterns being patterns of change over time in a gas flow rate, wherein the range over which the gas flow rate increases and decreases falls within a flow-rate zone set for the fuel cell (21). This makes it possible to accurately identify whether or not an in-use gas appliance is a fuel cell while effectively minimizing gas wastage.
