Abstract:
A movable member (13) in which a physical change occurs depending on the flow rate of breathing is placed inside a tube body (11). The tube body (11) and a holder section are made detachable. When breathing is started with the tube body (11) put to a mouth, the movable member (13) is bent depending on the flow rate of the breathing. Then, image data of the movable member (13) is acquired through the tube body (11), by a CCD area sensor placed outside the tube body (11), and the amount of the bending is measured. The flow rate of breathing is calculated based on the flow rate data corresponding to the amount of the bending of the movable member (13).
