Title:
FLOW SENSOR
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2011/118924
Kind Code:
A2
Abstract:
The present invention aims to provide a flow sensor having a structure that minimizes the attachment of foreign materials in a fluid, such as iron, to a magnetic rotary body. To this end, the flow sensor of the present invention comprises: rotary wings that rotate according to the flow of the fluid; a magnetic rotary body which has a magnet therein and which is mounted separately from the rotary wings and rotates simultaneously with the rotary wings; a rotating shaft, to which the rotary wings and the magnetic rotary body are axially coupled; a rotary shaft support unit for supporting the two ends of the rotary shaft to enable the rotation thereof; a case which has a fluid inlet and a fluid outlet, and which is provided with the rotary wings, the magnetic rotary body, the rotary shaft, and the rotary shaft support unit therein; and a detection sensor, which is provided outside the case and measures the number of the rotation of the magnetic rotary body by detecting the change of polarity in the magnet, wherein the rotary wings are mounted on a fluid passage which connects the fluid inlet and the fluid outlet, and the magnetic rotary body is mounted in a position that is away from the fluid passage. The flow sensor of the present invention can operate smoothly, have enhanced durability, and obtain highly reliable flow rate measurement results.
