Title:
FLOWING WATER DETECTION DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2010/147112
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A novel, operating valve-type flowing water detection device applicable to relatively large opening diameters. The flowing water detection device (A) is provided with a coiled spring (14) for pressing a detection rod (11) in the direction in which a valve element (7) is opened. As a result, despite the fact that flowing water is detected by causing the pivoting of the detection rod (11) to be associated with the pivoting of the valve element (7) when the valve element is opened and closed by a differential pressure, a load which closes the valve element (7) is not applied to the valve element (7) by the detection rod (11). This means that the valve element (7) can have a large opening angle even if, as in the case in conventional operating valve-type flowing water detection devices, the amount of pivoting of the valve element is small due to a small amount of flowing water on the secondary side. Accordingly, the operating valve-type flowing water detection device (A) performs highly reliable operation and detection and can be applied to relatively large opening diameters in the range from 65A (2-1/2") to 200A (8") which are often installed particularly in general buildings.
