Abstract:
A fluid bearing device, wherein the outer peripheral surface (8d) of a bearing sleeve (8) is press-fitted with a specified interference into the inner peripheral surface (7c) of a housing (7) and fused to each other while applying ultrasonic vibration to the housing (7) or/and the bearing sleeve (8). Since the area of the inner peripheral surface (7c) of the housing (7) which comes into contact with the bearing sleeve (8) is fused or softened by the action of the ultrasonic vibration in the press-fitting, a press-fitting force in the press-fitting can be remarkably reduced less than that in a case where press-fitting only is performed.
