Abstract:
A flanged shaft member capable of stably exhibiting a high bearing performance can be manufactured easily at a low cost.
The shaft member (2) is equipped with a shaft portion (2a) and a flange portion (2b) joined to the lower end face (2a2) of the shaft portion (2a). The shaft portion (2a) is formed into a sectionally circular shape, and the flange portion (2b) has a noncircular through hole (2c) formed such that a circumferentially partial region thereof retracts radially outward from the lower end of the shaft portion (2a). The shaft portion (2a) and the flange portion (2b) are joined such that the lower end face (2a2) of the shaft portion (2a) and the upper end face (2b1) of the flange portion (2b) abut against each other. Thus, a fluid passage (11) is formed to open into the two end faces (2b1 and 2b2) of the flange portion (2b), in which the upper end opening is defined and formed by the upper end opening of the through hole (2c) and the lower end portion of the shaft portion (2a), and in which the lower end opening is formed of the lower end opening of the through hole (2c).
