Abstract:
The fluid control valve according to the present invention is formed from a brass alloy containing at most 1000 ppm lead and at least 0.8% Sn, and is provided in a refrigerant circuit used in an air conditioner or the like. By utilizing said fluid control valve in a refrigerant conduit, stress corrosion cracking can be prevented even in environments where there is extensive exposure to atmospheric ammonia, and in which the temperature is higher than the temperature of the atmosphere, thus promoting reaction with the ammonia. Implementing said fluid control valve also allows for a reduction in environmental load. The abovementioned alloy may also contain 1.6% Bi or more.
