Abstract:
Provided is a fluid detector which has a simple configuration and a low manufacturing cost. A fluid detector (10) for detecting whether a fluid inside a pipe (5) is flowing is provided with: a first magnet (11) fixed to a top surface portion of the inside of the pipe (5); a float (12) which has a specific gravity less than that of the fluid and which is supported inside the pipe (5) by means of an electrically conductive rod (14) so as to be capable of pivoting in a direction of flow of water, wherein, if water is not flowing, movement of the float (12) with an orientation opposite to a flow orientation of water is restricted by the first magnet (11), and a second magnet (18) provided on an upper portion of the float (12) is magnetically attracted to the first magnet (11), and if water is flowing, the float (12) moves away from the first magnet (11) in the direction of the flow orientation of the water, by means of a fluid force; and a circuit (13) which is connected to the first magnet (11) and the float (12), is short-circuited as a result of the second magnet (18) being magnetically attracted to the first magnet (11), and is opened as a result of the second magnet (12) moving away from the first magnet (11).
