Abstract:

　In a fluid dynamic bearing device, the ratio W1/W2 of the circumferential width W1 of inclined slope portions G2 of a radial dynamic pressure generator G and the circumferential width W2 of inclined groove portions G3 is at least 1.2, and the circumferential width W2 of the inclined groove portions satisfies the expression 0.2D≦W2≦0.4D, where D is the inside diameter of the bearing member.
