Abstract:
A fluid dynamic bearing device 1 is provided with a bottomed tubular housing 7, a bearing sleeve 8 placed on the inner periphery of the housing 7, and a shaft member 2 having a shaft part 2a removably inserted through the inner periphery of the bearing sleeve 8. Part of the internal space of the housing 7 is filled with lubrication oil L, the rest of the internal space is a gap part not filled with the lubrication oil L, one axial end surface 8c of the bearing sleeve 8 constituting an open side of the housing 7 is open into the atmosphere, and between an internal circumferential surface 8a and the one axial end surface 8c of the bearing sleeve 8 is provided an inclined surface part 11 forming an oil buffer space 12 with an external circumferential surface 2a1 of the shaft part 2a.
