Abstract:
Provided is a fluid-filled cylindrical vibration-damping device having a novel structure, the vibration-damping device being capable of exhibiting excellent vibration-damping performance against vibration in both low- and high-frequency regions, which is inputted in a direction perpendicular to an axis. This fluid-filled cylindrical vibration-damping device 10 is configured such that: an intermediate cylinder member 14 is disposed over the outer periphery of an inner shaft member 12 at a distance therefrom; the intermediate cylinder member 14 and the inner shaft member 12 are connected by a main body rubber elastic body 16; an outer cylinder member 18 is fitted over and affixed to the intermediate cylinder member 14; fluid chambers 58 are formed between the inner shaft member 12 and the outer cylinder member 18 at positions on the opposite sides of the inner shaft member 12; and an orifice passage 60 is provided to provide communication between the fluid chambers 58 on the opposite sides. At least one axial sidewall section 34 of at least one fluid chamber 58 has formed thereon: a thick-walled center connection section 38 located at the circumferential center of the sidewall section 34 and extending in a direction perpendicular to a shaft; and thin-walled flexible wall sections 40 having a smaller wall thickness than the center connection section 38 and located and extending on the opposite circumferential portions of the sidewall section 34.
