Abstract:

Provided is a fluid-filled vibration damping device with an improved structure, the device exhibiting excellent vibration-damping effects even when subjected to vibrations having a higher frequency than the tuning frequency of the orifice passage. Communication ports (40), which allow a pressure-receiving chamber (58) to communicate with an equilibrating chamber (60), are formed in a partitioning member (30) and an elastic rubber plate (64) that covers the communication ports (40) from the pressure-receiving chamber (58) side is provided. The pressure in the pressure-receiving chamber (58) is applied on one surface of the elastic rubber plate (64) and the pressure in the equilibrating chamber (60) is applied on the other surface through the communication ports (40). Meanwhile, contact-held sections (72) for holding the elastic rubber plate (64) so as to be stacked on the partitioning member (30) are provided on the outer circumferential edge of the elastic rubber plate (64). Additionally, deformation-allowing regions (76) for allowing elastic deformation due to pressure differences between the pressure-receiving chamber (58) and the equilibrating chamber (60) are formed between the circumferential ends of the contact-held sections (72). Gaps (80) are also formed between the deformation-allowing regions (76) and the partitioning member (30). A communication passage (82) for allowing the pressure-receiving chamber (58) and the equilibrating chamber (60) to communicate with each other is configured to comprise the gaps (80).
