Title:
FLUID HEATING HEATER
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2002/039027
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A fluid heating heater for improving a heat transfer coefficient to fluid, downsizing the heater itself, shortening a start-up time required until hot water with a necessary temperature is supplied, and consuming less power. A heater comprising a platy ceramic substrate (1), and a heating element formed on the surface or inside of the ceramic substrate (1), the ceramic substrate (1) consisting of AlN having a thermal conductivity of at least 50 W/m•K or silicon nitride. The fluid heating surface of the ceramic substrate (1) is formed with a zigzag water channel by means of walls (6) or the like, with many fins (5) fixed to the inside of the water channel. An insulating material (8) may be attached so as to cover portions of the surface, except for the fluid heating surface, of the ceramic substrate (1).
